Designed and assembled inhouse, the B8 model BOLLARD Sound Enclosures are designed for our 121kW, 151kW, and 184kW commercial marine generators. The B7 model fits our 42kw – 104kW generators.
The design completely isolates the generator and engine air intake from the engine compartment. As a result, the generator cooling fan draws only cool air from outside the enclosure over the windings.
The enclosure’s seals prevent hot air inside the engine compartment, short cycling through the generator windings, and increasing heat. Running cooler means less wind resistance, improved generator efficiency, and fuel consumption.
The sound shields emphasize equipment serviceability, functionality, and system integration. Every connection point, from fuel to remote panels, block heaters, and AC connections, has been considered.
BOLLARD Marine Generator Sound Enclosures are the only model with an integrated clutched PTO option, allowing for quiet hydraulic pump operation.
