Description

Water cooled exhaust manifold shielding system for a cooler and quieter crew environment. Also reduces external connections, which eliminates hoses and fittings that can leak or break. This system reduces pumping losses because the exhaust gas temperature is not over-cooled.

Corrosion resistant components hold engine paint better and provide engine corrosion protection from the effects of salt air and splashing bilge water. The finish on MER equipment protects equipment from corrosion that would cause replacement at rebuild time.

Freshwater (anti-freeze coolant) heat exchanger or keel-cooler- designed for reliable operation in adverse conditions.

MER gear driven raw-water (water in which the boat travels) provide maximum lift to bring water on-board to absorb heat and carry it safely away. Our raw water pumps eliminate belts and side load, and require no adjustments. Saves maintenance dollars.

Smooth running and high torque @ low speed enable the engine to turn larger propellers at a lower speed for best efficiency. Lower-rated rpm limits vibration and noise for better crew comfort, and save fuel. The fuel savings with unit pump fuel system provides precise fuel delivery for excellent cold weather starting. These engines are miserly on fuel, saving you dollars.

Emissions-US EPA Marine Tier II Compliant. IMO Exempt
